The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
On May 28 at 5:15 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a medical office on Birchfield Drive for the report of a disorderly subject. On arrival officers encountered an emotionally disturbed subject who had assaulted medical staff. The subject then assaulted one of the responding officers. He was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for evaluation. He was later charged with aggravated assault on medical staff and police and resisting arrest. No one was injured during the incident.
A victim reported that their vehicle was broken into while it was parked at the Greyhound Bus Terminal on Fellowship Road between May 25 and May 30. A cell phone, iPod and clothing were taken.
A 64-year-old male victim reported that he was stopped in traffic on South Route 73 near Church Road on June 2 at 1 p.m. A female exited the vehicle behind him and walked up to his vehicle. She accused him of cutting her off and then punched him in the left side of his face through his open window. She left the area in a white Ford Escape.
An employee of a hotel on Crawford Place reported that while walking through the parking lot of the hotel, he saw a man and a woman throwing trash on the ground. He asked the subjects to throw their trash in a trash can. The female yelled at him and threw objects at him, but missed. The male walked up to the employee and pushed him to the ground causing minor injuries. The suspects then got into their car and drove off.
On June 4 at 11:25 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on Foxcroft Way for a suspicious person complaint. The investigation revealed that the vacant residence was up for sheriff’s sale. The suspect was located attempting to drill open the lock on the rear door allegedly to inspect the vacant home prior to making a bid to purchase the property. No one had authorization to be at or enter the home. A 61-year-old man from Gloucester City was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He was released pending a court hearing.
