The regular school day at Parkway School has resumed after the school was put on lockdown Tuesday morning.
According to the school district’s Facebook page, the school’s front office received a threatening telephone call around 9:30 a.m. An adult male said he was in the building with a gun. Parkway School is a voting location for residents voting in today’s primary election, so various adults who might normally have no business in the building have been in and out of the school throughout the morning.
The building was put into a lockdown after the phone call was made and police were summoned. The entire building was searched and all students and staff were safely accounted for.
School officials say the building will remain on lockdown as police continue their investigation.
