The Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey is presenting artwork created by the Center’s own talented, young students, age 5 to 18 with its ongoing children/teen exhibit. The Center’s students are taught the basics of drawing, which is the foundation for all fine art. As the students become acclimated to the pencil, they are introduced to the use of all fine art media including: colored pencils, pen and ink, pastel (chalk or oil) watercolor, acrylic and oil. Students selected their own projects from home or from references in the classroom. A free and open to the pubic exhibit reception for the students and their work will be held on Saturday, June 13, from 1–3 p.m. at the Center, located 123 South Elmwood Road. The exhibit will also be free and open to the public from through June 22, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. — 3 p.m. and Wednesdays, 7–9 p.m.
