The following information comes from Evesham Police Lt. Joseph Friel:
On May 23, at 1 p.m., Evesham Officers responded to the ShopRite Store, 307 West Route 70 for a shoplifting in progress. Upon officers arrival the suspect was already detained by store loss prevention.
Investigation determined that the suspect had stolen $77 worth of energy drinks and beef jerky. When officers placed the suspect into custody they found that he was also in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested:
A male, age 21, of Pennsville, was charged with third degree possession of heroin, and disorderly persons offenses for drug paraphernalia and shoplifting. He was released on his own recognizance.
