This class, part of the Rutgers Master Gardeners’ “Back to Basics” series, will teach about how to leaves and kitchen waste into free, valuable fertilizer for plants while helping to keep waste out of landfills.

The speaker is Gwenne Baile, a Master Gardener of Camden County.

Weather-permitting, the class will include a brief tour of Camden

County’s new compost area. Both traditional outside composting as well as worm-composting, which is great for apartment dwellers, will be discussed.

Pre-registration is strongly suggested. The cost is $10 per household. For more information or to register, call (856) 216–7130, email [email protected] or go to the website, http://camden.njaes.rutgers.edu/garden.
