On April 26, Camden County Chickens are presenting “The Basics of Raising Backyard Chickens in the Suburbs” at the Camden County Environmental Center in Cherry Hill. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. and call will be from 1 to 3 p.m.

Guests will learn how easy it is to set up a coop, select hens and care for them year-round as well as the legal issues in your town and what you can do about them. Speakers include Maureen Breen, chair of Philadelphia Backyard Chickens and Gwenne Baile, chair of Camden County Chickens.
