If you are looking for a delightful afternoon of music, the ladies of the Evening Membership Department of the Haddon Fortnightly have planned it for you. On Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m. the club will present its annual “Lecture in Song” program. This year, featured pianist and song “renditionist,” Fred Miller, will be performing the music and telling the history of composer, Alan Jay Lerner. Lerner’s music includes the music from “Gigi,” “Camelot,” “My Fair Lady,” “Brigadoon” and “On a Clear Day,” to name a few.
Well-known to this area, Miller is a pianist/singer/lecturer, who has spent the last several decades in many musical fields. Currently his professional life revolves around American Popular Song. So come out and join in on the pleasantries of the afternoon in song. Refreshments will follow. The Haddon Fortnightly clubhouse is located on the corner of Kings Highway and Grove Street in Haddonfield. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For tickets or more information, call Darice at (856) 287–8580. See you there.
