The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announces its March support group schedule.
“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion,” said Kim Runmaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support. “It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone.”
The following support groups will be offered by the Samaritan Center for Grief Support staff beginning in March:
- Daughters Without Mothers — for daughters grieving the loss of their mother.
Eight sessions for $40, starting on March 23 at 6 p.m. at Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive
- Sharing in Grief and Hope — for anyone who has lost a family member or friend. Eight sessions for $40, starting March 18 at 6 p.m. at Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive
- Understanding Grief — an overview of the grief process. One session at no charge, held March 31 at 6 p.m. at Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive.
- The Grieving Heart — for adults grieving the loss of a family member or friend.
Two locations: Virtua Memorial 175 Madison Ave, Mt Holly on March 14 at 2 p.m., and Hammonton Library 451 S Egg Harbor Rodd, Hammonton on March 21 at 10 a.m.
Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596–8550. Other center services include grief counseling for adults and children, and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
