Moorestown Police Reports for Jan. 16 through Jan. 28

The following reports are on file with the Moorestown Police Department:

On Jan. 16 an officer was checking on a motor vehicle parked on Haines Drive in the park after hours. Occupants of the vehicle were using CDS marijuana. Arrested and charged with possession of CDS marijuana less than 50 grams were an 18-year-old female and 19-year-old male from Moorestown. Both subjects were released on a summons. Reid was also issued a motor vehicle summons for CDS in a motor vehicle.

On Jan. 17 Lord & Taylor in the Moorestown Mall reported two shoplifters. Arrested and charged with shoplifting was a 38-year-old woman of Williamstown. She selected women’s clothing valued at $302. She was remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $50,000 bail. The other woman, a 35-year-old also of Williamstown, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit shoplifting and possession of hypodermic syringe. The 35-year-old conspired with previously mentioned woman on stealing the merchandise and operating a waiting motor vehicle. The 35-year-old was in possession of six needles. She was remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $17,500 bail.

On Jan. 20 a 23-year-old individual of Philadelphia was arrested and charged with theft for taking mail from boxes on Westfield Road. The individual was remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $20,000 bail.

On Jan. 20 a 34-year-old male of Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possession of a syringe. He concealed three pairs of Levi jeans for a total value of $174 from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall and had three hypodermic needles in his pocket. He was released on a summons.

On Jan. 22 a 28-year-old male of Lakewood was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He concealed a hooded sweatshirt valued at $50 in a backpack from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. He was remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $1,500 bail.

On Jan. 22, due to a domestic situation a 20-year-old woman of Moorestown was arrested and charged with simple assault. She was released ROR on a warrant with $500.

On Jan. 24, an unlocked vehicle was entered and $50 taken from a wallet on West Maple Avenue.

On Jan. 26, an unlocked vehicle was entered and loose change taken on West Prospect Avenue.

On Jan. 26 an unlocked vehicle was entered and $80, a $100 American Express gift card and Vera Bradley change purse were taken on West Prospect Avenue. On the previous week an unlocked vehicle had been entered and $160 taken, but not reported to police at the time. The vehicles were parked in the driveway.

On Jan. 26, a Schwinn bicycle was taken from a locked garage on East Central Avenue. The bicycle is valued between $800 to $900. No force was noticed to the garage door. The victim also states this is the fifth bike taken from locked garage.

On Jan. 28, a 43-year-old woman of Berlin was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed jewelry valued at $300 from Boscov’s Department Store in the Moorestown Mall. She was released on a summons.

On Jan. 28, a 32-year-old woman of Moorestown was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She concealed two power battery packs in her handbag valued at $35.98 from Kmart, Route 38. She was released on a summons.
