Due to the forecast for a significant snowfall through Tuesday evening; Medford Township officials are advising residents of the following service delivery interruptions.
- Trash and recycling collection has been suspended for Tuesday, Jan. 27. Please do not put containers roadside, as it affects theability to plow the roads. Trash collection may also be postponed on Wednesday, dependent on the amount of snow received. Trash collections will not be rescheduled.
- Please pull any Christmas trees out for collection back from the roadside so as not to interfere with snowplows.
- Bulk trash collection is cancelled for this Wednesday, Jan. 28.
- The Public Works Facility/Garage/Dump is closing at 12:00 noon today on Monday until further notice, as all personnel are being reassigned to snowstorm related efforts. There will be no bulk trash drop-off Tuesday afternoon, and depending on the severity of the storm Thursday’s drop-off may also be cancelled.
- Municipal Offices will be closed all day on Tuesday, Jan. 28. The on-line tax payment system should be operational by tomorrow.
- The Cranberry Hall Senior Center is closed through Wednesday, Jan. 29.
- The Freedom Park Dog Park and Skatepark are closed through Wednesday, Jan. 29.
- The Economic Development Commission meeting scheduled for Monday evening is postponed, with the rescheduled date yet to be determined.
- The Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee meeting scheduled Tuesday evening is postponed, with the rescheduled date yet to be determined.
Medford Township Police will be enforcing an ordinance prohibiting anyone from shoveling, blowing or plowing snow from private property onto sidewalks, streets and roadways, and fire hydrants of the township.
