Obituary: Edward T. Nelson of Tabernacle

Edward T. Nelson of Tabernacle passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 19. He was 80 years of age.

Born in Camden, he has resided in Tabernacle for the past 45 years, moving there from Camden. Life member of the Medford Farms Volunteer Fire Company and an honorary member of the Tabernacle Fire Company #1, he was also a life member of the Burlington County Fire Police Association and the NJ State Fire Police Association. A retired lift truck operator for Weyerhauser in Barrington, he retired in 2000 after 45 years. He is the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (nee Young) Nelson of Tabernacle and the loving father of Pamela Ward of Camden, Edward Ward (Wendy) of Pine Hill, Edward T. Nelson (Lisa) of Pine Hill, Terri Zane (Keith) of Tabernacle and Edward P. Nelson (Donna) of Southampton. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and two great granddaughters.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, Jan. 26 from 7–9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Jan. 27 from 10–11 a.m. at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the BG Wm. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy donations to the Tabernacle Fire Company #1, 76 Hawkins Rd., Tabernacle, NJ 08088 or to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
