The third week in January is designated as awareness week for teen cancer.
Each year Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation sponsors an event to raise awareness of the challenges that teens face as they battle this disease.
This year ARVF will be hosting a “Day of Service” on Monday, Jan 19 from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m. Come join ARVF at the Boscov’s courtyard at the Voorhees Town Center for a day of service and fun.
Service Opportunities
– Volunteers will assemble teen kits and stuff bandana pillows which will be shipped to hospitalized children at the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper Hospital in Camden.
-Volunteers will craft making “Cards of Encouragement” to be included in the teen kits.
-Volunteers will also be collecting white athletic socks, tic-tacs, and or lip-balm for teen kit drive.
Entertainment
– Rock-It Entertainment providing music from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m.
– SJ Ballet Company will perform at 12 noon and 1 p.m. at the Boscov’s Courtyard.
