According to officials with the Evesham Township police department, the department will have extra DUI patrols throughout the upcoming holiday.
The department wishes residents of the town a “happy, prosperous and safe 2015,” but also asks that residents help keep roads safe by being responsible when celebrating, using designated drivers and never drinking and driving.
This message comes when the township was recently ranked the 5th safest place to live in New Jersey with residents numbering more than 45,000.
The ranking comes from ValuePenguin, a company focused on using data to help consumers reach better financial decisions.
ValuePenguin analysts looked at crime statistics in more than 350 cities and towns in the state to arrive at their conclusion, factoring in different types of crime and population.
