The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Township Police Department:
Patrolman Sean has been named ETPD “Officer of the Month” for November 2014.
McGinley has been a member of the Evesham Police Department for five years. McGinley is being commended for displaying an inordinate amount of compassion towards a township resident and going beyond the “normal” call for duty.
During a patrol shift in Nov. 2014, McGinley responded to a well-being check of an Evesham Township resident. Upon McGinley’s arrival, he located a female who had fallen upon both emotional and unfortunate financial hardship. After providing the female with the assistance she needed, McGinley took it upon himself to go out food shopping on his own time and decided to leave the groceries on her front door step. He did this without taking credit for his actions and this was only learned of after some prodding by other officers.
McGinley’s actions truly epitomized the definition of compassion.
