New motto suggestions are being accepted through Nov. 7

The Township of Moorestown is pleased to announce that it will be holding a township-wide collaboration amongst the schools in creating an inspirational motto to replace the motto on the medallions on the outside wall of the Moorestown Library. After reading and understanding the ground rules set forth below, the township hopes the schools will involve their students in submitting their suggestion(s):

GROUND RULES

1. The filing deadline for submitting your inspirational motto is Nov. 7.

2. All submissions should be forwarded, via email, to: Richard R. Ragan, RA, PP, President, Ragan Design Group at [email protected].

3. The reference line in the email should state: Moorestown Medallion Motto Submission by (name of school).

4. The motto should be three to eight words in length.

5. The motto shall be written in the proper Latin form, all caps, with the translation written under it in capital and lower case.

6. All submissions will be considered and forwarded to the Township Council for final selection.

7. The Township Council shall select three mottos.

8. The final three selections will then be analyzed by the Moorestown Township Latin Teachers: Dr. Malsbary, Director of Classical Languages, Belmont Abbey College and Dr. Joseph Farrell, Professor of Classical Studies, University of Pennsylvania for accuracy in writing and meaning.

9. The Township Council shall select the final inspirational motto to be placed in the medallion.
