Mayor Chuck Cahn, council and the Cherry Hill Arts Advisory Board are proud to present, “The Voices”, the first concert in the 2014–2015 Cherry Hill Ensemble Series. This performance will take place at the Croft Farm Arts Center on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
The concert will bring together two aspiring singers from Cherry Hill High School East and allow them to perform on stage with professionals from the Academy of Vocal Arts. Not only will the two worlds collide on Sunday, Oct. 26, but the academy has invited the young singers to practice at the AVA and receive coaching in the weeks leading up to the concert. Fostering talent in the youth of the community is forefront in the minds of the mayor, council and the arts board.
The Cherry Hill Ensemble Series is sponsored by NFI and tickets are still available for purchase in Room 102 of the municipal building. Seating is general admission and tickets are only $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. for all performances. Next in the series will be a concert featuring music of the Beatles on Sunday, March 29, brought to life by the members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Philadelphia Pops. Closing out the series, on May 3 will be Beautiful Music: the Music of Carole King, James Taylor and others. This concert will be performed by the Ocean City Pops.
