Free farmer’s market vouchers are still available for eligible Burlington County seniors

Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio announced that the county continues to have free farmer’s market vouchers still available for eligible Burlington County seniors through the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program.

“This is a tremendous program that makes vouchers worth $20 available to income eligible residents over the age of 60 so that they may purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables,” Garganio said. “This not only increases access to healthy foods for our seniors but also helps to promote and expand the sale of locally grown produce.”

Vouchers will continue to be distributed through Sept. 30 and may be redeemed until Nov. 30.

Residents can find out if they might qualify for this free program by calling the Burlington County Office on Aging at (609) 265–5069 or toll free at 1–877–222–3737. Proof of Burlington County residency and age are required. There are a limited number of vouchers, so there is no guarantee that enough vouchers will be available for all applicants.
