It is with great pleasure and the utmost confidence that the Board of Trustees of the Community House announces the appointment of Bradley J. Kenney as the new Executive Director, effective August 1. Mr. Kenney, a life-long Moorestown resident, lives in town with his wife, Kendra, and newborn son, Jack. We are very excited to have a Moorestown native take over the reins of this historic and iconic emblem of our community.
A commissioner of Moorestown Fire District #1 and volunteer firefighter, Kenney has served this community for years.
“I see this new role as a way to continue serving the community that I love. The Moorestown Community House has an 88-year tradition of being the heart and soul of this town. This wonderful place has served the town selflessly, it’s time for us to give back. Our Capital Campaign is of the utmost importance and I am confident that the community members of Moorestown will help preserve this historic building,” he said, when asked about his new position at the Moorestown Community House.
Kenney comes to us from working at The Evergreens retirement community in Moorestown and holds his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Eastern University.
Kenney is replacing Bill Newborg, who announced his retirement on May 1 of this year. As Executive Director for the past 25 years, Bill has literally changed the face of the Community House. He has taken our community’s home from disrepair to the beautiful English Manor house that exists today. We can’t thank Bill enough for his commitment to this cherished, memory-filled building. To say Bill will be missed is an understatement. He has left an indelible mark within our walls, as well as within the lives of so many throughout our community.
Please join us in welcoming Brad and in wishing Bill and his wife, Marylou, years of health and happiness in their retirement
