Marlton redisent Edward Curtin receives FBI scholarship

At their recent meeting, the Trustees of the Former Agents of the FBI Foundation voted to award a scholarship for the 2014–2015 academic year to Edward Curtin of Marlton. Edward will attend the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken in the fall. He is the grandson of former FBI Agent John T. Curtin.

The funding of the Foundation scholarship program is based in part on an endowment made by the late Mrs. Rosamond Woodruff Morgan in honor of her husband, Judge Roy L. Morgan. The Foundation continues to honor the memory of both Mr. and Mrs. Morgan through scholarships granted to outstanding students. Selection is based on a student’s financial need, academic achievement, leadership and/or community involvement.

The Former Agents of the FBI Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, Inc., located in Dumfries, Va. For the 2014–2015 academic year, the Foundation will award a total of 261 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 per year. Undergraduates who are children and grandchildren of former FBI Agents or children of graduates of the FBI National Academy, who are pursuing degrees in a variety of subjects, are eligible to apply. Beginning in December, information and applications for the 2015–2016 Scholarship Program will be available online at www.socxfbi.org.
