The Flying W Airport in Medford is offering airplane rides for children ages 8 to 17 on Friday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Adults will accompany participating children on their flights. The Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1348 will be running the program. More than 1.8 million Young Eagles have participated in the flights since the program began in 1992.
The program is free to participating. Governing factors include weather and available aircraft.
