Kresson Elementary Science Fair

Kresson Elementary is excited to be hosting its first annual Science & Technology Fair, taking place Tuesday, June 10 from 6:30–8:30pm. More than 100 students from grades 1 through 5 will be participating.

“It is gratifying to know that so many kids are excited to do science. This is exactly what our country needs in order to stay at the forefront of discovery and exploration and compete in the 21st century,” says Anthony Klock, Kresson’s enrichment program teacher. “Scientific inquiry makes all of our lives better and perhaps one of these children will develop a cure or solve some seemingly insolvable problem.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to view all the students’ projects, as well as interact with exhibits from guest presenters such as the Voorhees Police Department; Willingboro Astronomy Society; NJ Watershed Ambassador Jessica Aubrey; Maggie McCann, environmental educator from Camden County Parks Environmental Affairs Division; and Eastern Robotic Vikings. Parents of Kresson students will also be hosting stations, including zebra fish genetics, robotics programming and a medical handwashing experiment. Kresson’s Junior First Lego League team will unveil its Lego tsunami model.

Guests can tour the exhibits while enjoying cookies located at one of the booths which were generously donated by Classic Cake in Cherry Hill. Other refreshments will be available for purchase.
