A Lenape High School student was apprehended this morning after he struck another student with an aluminum pole.
According to school district officials, at approximately 11:30 a.m. an unidentified student entered a classroom and hit another student with the pole. Lenape staff immediately apprehended the student. No other students were in danger.
The school was put into “shelter in place” for about 25 minutes to allow emergency medical personnel to respond. Counselors were available for students who witnessed the incident.
No other details have been released. Medford Township Police and Lenape administration are investigating the incident.
