Medford police charge nine with underage drinking after responding to noise complaint

The following information was provided by the Medford Twp. Police Department.

Medford Twp Police responded to an anonymous call in the 100 block of West Centennial Drive on May 3 for the report of a loud party. Patrols arrived to find an underage drinking party in and around the residence. Numerous subjects were attempting to flee the area and were located hiding around the interior and exterior of the home.

Evesham Twp. Police responded to the scene and assisted Medford Police with the large group of subjects. A total of nine juveniles, ages ranging from 16 to 17 years old, were charged with underage consumption of alcohol. An additional nine juveniles were contacted, it was determined they had not been drinking alcohol, and all were released to their respective parents. Also, six young adults were located at the residence, who had not been drinking, and were released on scene to a responsible third party adult.
