On May 15, the Mt. Laurel Board of Education will host the 2014 Mt. Laurel Education Summit: Understanding the Transformation at Hartford School, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Participants will be asked to share their reflections and perceptions on public education in general and on Mt. Laurel schools in particular. The board and administration want to hear public opinion and hope to share some typical experiences with participants in a community setting that is designed to move the schools forward for all Mt. Laurel children.
The board’s goal is to have every demographic group within Mt. Laurel represented at the summit and to have technology available for hands-on use by participants. For that reason, participation is limited to 100 Mt. Laurel community members. The board hopes to have representatives from every demographic group within the community — parents, residents without children, senior citizens, members of faith-based groups, preschool parents and day care workers, township officials, residents at large and school personnel.
