Two Medford juveniles arrested after stealing medication from Acme

The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.

On April 21 at 9:41 p.m., Medford Police responded to the Acme on Route 70 for a report of a shoplifting. The caller reported a male stole an unknown amount of medication and fled the scene after being confronted by an employee. The police located the suspect at the intersection of Route 70 and Haynes Creek Lane.

The suspect was identified as a 16-year-old male from Medford. A second suspect was identified as a 15-year-old male from Medford. Both parties were arrested and charged with shoplifting $24.47 worth of cold medication. The 15-year-old was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance for marijuana that was on his person. Both parties were released to their parents pending court.
