Medford’s Peacock Cemetery re-dedication scheduled for April 1

The dedication of the restored Peacock Cemetery will be held on Tuesday, April 1 starting promptly at 5:30 p.m. The cemetery is located at the intersection of Chairville Road and the north side of Route 70.

The family cemetery dates back over 200 years and has a history of people buried there dating back to the revolution and George Washington’s Army. Larry Godfey, a Peacock descendent, has been the driving force in restoring the cemetery.

The Medford-Vincentown Rotary contributed $5000 towards this historic landmark project. The Peacock Family would like to thank all that helped in this restoration.
