The Hidden Treasures of Korea event will feature a demonstration of a traditional Korean meal at the Voorhees Library on Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. Adults are invited to watch two documentary films about Korean culture, and the country’s industrial achievements since the Korean War in the 1950’s. A reenactment of a traditional Korean wedding ceremony, followed by a traditional Korean meal, are planned for the program.
Adult Services Librarian Shyamoli De said the program is being offered as part of the “Korean Spirit and Cultural Promotion Project,” dedicated to raising awareness of Korean history and culture.
