Claire Schmieder has been named program associate at the Alice Paul Institute. The appointment was announced by Lucienne Beard, the Institute’s executive director.
Schmeider is responsible for assisting with program planning and implementation, facilitating girls leadership programs and curriculum development, coordinating Girls Advisory Council activities, coordinating tours and programs, maintaining the Institute’s website and managing the institute’s social media.
Previously, Schmeider headed her own company, which provided historical research and writing.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the College of William and Mary and master’s degrees in American history and library information sciences from Rutgers University.
