Shamong Township is expecting a significant snow storm today. Please be advised the Public Works Department’s primary goal during winter weather is to maintain safe township roadways for everyone. To assist these dedicated men in this goal please:
* When clearing driveways shovel and/or blow snow onto the curb and/or lawn, not into the street.
* Do not park cars on the street from one hour after the snow begins until the streets have been plowed sufficient to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. Remember fines can be incurred for those illegally parking on township roadways during snow emergencies.
* Remove all hockey or basketball nets from streets.
* Place trash cans on the curb and not in the street.
