Katz JCC is offering a a free community event for the entire family on Sunday, Oct. 27. It kicks off with a festive parade at 8:30 a.m. led by former South Jersey Maccabi athletes and coaches as well as local dignitaries and the Macca-bee mascot, a Macca-bee contest for the most original bee costume for children, adults and pets, family activities such as a moon bounce, face painting and games plus giveaways and snacks.
This event is in conjunction with the Cherry Hill Volvo One Mile Fun Walk and will be immediately followed by the Cherry Hill Volvo 5K Road Race at 9Â a.m.
This event begins the official year-long kick-off to the JCC Maccabi Games that the Katz JCC is hosting from August 10–15, 2014. The Games are an Olympic style athletic competition and the largest annual gathering of Jewish teens in the world. Over 2,500 local volunteers will make this event possible for over 1,000 visiting teen athletes that will bring over 10,000 spectators to our area.
