BREAKING: No settlement made on BOE and MEA negotiations
Moorestown Board of Education and Moorestown Education Association representatives met last night with a mediator, attempting to settle contracts that expired JuneĀ 30.
According to board member Kevin OāSullivan, the negotiations lasted six hours and both sides āmoved a little on salaries,ā but did not come to an agreement.
āThe BOE is committed to having a fair settlement that is financially sustainable for the district going forward. The issues are still healthcare, salaries and contract language,ā OāSullivan said.
Due to the mediatorās availability, the next meeting is scheduled for Oct.Ā 2.
