Ronald McDonald House receives $15,000 from Burlco business

Ravitz Family Markets, owners and operators of five ShopRite supermarkets in Burlington and Camden counties presented a $15,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region, at the non-profit’s recent telethon.

The donation was made on behalf of the stores’ Cares Committee (Cares), which is an employee-managed initiative that drives many of the Ravitz Family Market’s outreach programs in the communities its stores serve.

Cares members choose programs to support; raise funds through nearly 1,000 fellow employees, customers, and vendors; and award donations.

Cares also provided volunteers that staffed the telethon’s phone bank.
Ronald McDonald House is a non-profit organization that creates, finds, and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children in the community.

Throughout its 40 years in business, Ravitz Family Markets has been a long-time supporter of key community efforts, including The Ravitz Family Foundation, which aids children and families in need by providing grants to local charitable organizations.
