Annual National Arts Program Exhibition on display until June 14

The winning pieces and other works in the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College’s eighth annual National Arts Program Exhibition will remain on display for public viewing through June 14.

This local show is part of a nationwide series of exhibits in 38 states featuring approximately 15,000 pieces of visual art.

This year’s competition consisted of 82 pieces submitted by 52 artists ages 7 and older, all of whom are residents of Camden County or employed by or the family member of someone employed by the County of Camden or Camden County College.

More than $2,400 in prize money, provided by the National Arts Program to encourage individuals to showcase and develop their visual arts talents, was awarded to 17 winners in five categories.

The categories and their winners were:

Professional: Dom Martelli, first place; Earl Huff, second place; Bernard Collins, third place; and Frandy Jean, honorable mention.

Intermediate: Yuxuan Zhen, first place; Peter Ehlinger, second place; Charles Aitken, third place; and Henry Cummings, honorable mention.

Amateur: Rita Wood, first place; Chelsea Flynn, second place; and Holly Rotella, third place.

Teen: Ethan Howe, first place; Hannah Randall, second place; Samantha Maclardy, third place; and Samantha Smith, honorable mention.

Youth: Kelly O’Donnell, first place, and Katelyn Craig, second place.

The exhibition may be viewed from noon to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through June 14 in the lobby gallery of the Camden County College Regional Emergency Training Center.
