The Camden County College Regional Emergency Training Center — in cooperation with Safe Kids Southern New Jersey, Cooper Children’s Regional Hospital and the County of Camden — is hosting free child safety seat check-up events monthly throughout the rest of the year.
Attendees will learn the proper use of child safety seats and have the opportunity to have their own child seats examined by trained child safety seat technicians.
These technicians will inspect participants’ seats for defects, to ensure proper installation and for appropriateness in terms of the child’s age, weight and height.
The events will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on one Wednesday a month.
They have been scheduled for June 12, July 10, Aug. 14, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.
The Camden County College Regional Emergency Training Center is located at 420 Woodbury-Turnersville Road in Blackwood, Gloucester Township.
