Anyone who runs for commissioner has our appreciation for his or her concern for our town.
Haddonfield is fortunate to have a new name in the mix this time — John Moscatelli, who, as an engineer with 20 years of project experience in corporations and his own consulting business, has an intelligent approach to problem solving that has impressed us greatly.
We’d like to endorse him as the candidate with the greatest competence to oversee the borough’s infrastructure challenges. The roads are an obvious area of need. Not as obvious, but just as important, are the hundred of pending municipal sewer repairs to both an inadequate storm system and leaking sanitary sewer lines — needed for protection of property and health.
John has the time; independence and honesty to give important public safety projects top priority over discretionary spending on crowd-pleasers (to some voters) like artificial turf. First things first, John is first on our list and should be Haddonfield’s first choice for sensible leadership.
