YMCA to host ‘Healthy Kids Day’ April 28

The YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties, a cause-driven non-profit charitable organization, invites the community to celebrate “Healthy Kids Day” on Sunday, April 28, a nationwide celebration that teaches the importance of physical activity and how much fun it can be for the whole family.

The annual spring festival, sponsored by Virtua, TD Bank and SJ Magazine, highlights the wide array of wellness activities, swimming and youth sports available to kids and families at the YMCA of Burlington & Camden Counties and features interactive games and program demonstrations and summer camp registration sale.

Additional attractions include arts and crafts, family swim, ZUMBATHON® exhibits from local police, EMS and fire departments, healthy refreshments and more.

The first 1,000 children in attendance will receive free giveaways.

Attendees can help children in Camden learn to swim and have the opportunity to win prizes by donating new swim gear. New swimsuits, towels, goggles and swimming equipment will be collected throughout the event in order to help the Y teach 750 children in Camden the life-saving skill of swimming.

The event will take place rain or shine on Sunday, April 28 from 1–4 p.m.

For more information, contact the Mt. Laurel YMCA Welcome Center at (856) 234–6200, or visit www.ymca-bc.org.
