Roadwork on Church Road slated to begin April 10

The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders are announcing a road resurfacing project to begin on Wednesday in Maple Shade and Mt. Laurel Townships.

Resurfacing of a 1.6- mile portion of Church Road (County Route 616) is expected to begin Wednesday, April 10.

The project involves milling and overlay of Church Road from Camden County line in Maple Shade to Route 73 in Mount Laurel. The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.

Traffic will be maintained with one lane alternating during milling and paving operation. Motorists using the roadway may experience a delay and are recommended to find alternative routes during the work.

The work is being done as part of the county’s 2012 State Funded Overlay Program. The county will resurface a total of 21.4 miles of roadway in 14 municipalities through shared state and county funding.
