The Board of Trustees for the Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) has appointed a new board member, Kathy Gold. As a member of the board, Gold will attend all board meetings and actively promote and advance Partnership initiatives. In addition to her new position on the PfH board, she will also continue in her role as an active member of the PfH Marketing Committee.
Kathy Gold left the world of investment banking and portfolio management for a soul satisfying career in professional cooking. She founded her original company, Custom Cuisine Private Chef Services and Catering Company more than 16 years ago and is now owner and executive chef at In The Kitchen Cooking School in downtown Haddonfield.
Gold is the President of the Philadelphia Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International, an invitational organization of women leaders in food, beverage and hospitality whose mission is education, advocacy and philanthropy. She is a member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and a member of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, for which she serves as the Local Exchange Coordinator. In 2010, Gold was honored to be invited to the White House, as part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Chefs Move to Schools initiative, a program developed to combat childhood obesity.
