In order to reflect the broad scope of its activities, the Haddonfield Green Team changed its name to Sustainable Haddonfield.
Along with name change, Sustainable Haddonfield created a new logo to illustrate its mission to encourage sustainable use of human, economic, and natural resources.
Since its creation in 2010, Sustainable Haddonfield has organized workshops for residents to learn about rain barrels and backyard composting, promoted energy savings rebate programs for commercial businesses, and worked to obtain grants and funding for green infrastructure projects.
Sustainable Haddonfield works collaboratively with numerous civic and community groups, as a result of which the borough is currently engaged in over 30 different programs that save money, protect our natural resources, and improve and sustain our quality of life for future generations.
Through these efforts, the borough is hoping to become one of only two communities in the County, and 10 in the state to become certified under the Sustainable Jersey program at the silver level — the highest level achievable.
