Cherry Hill East lay host to American Red Cross check presentation

Beneficial Bank, the oldest and largest bank headquartered in Philadelphia, presented the American Red Cross Southern Shore Chapter with a check for $21,487 to benefit New Jersey victims of Hurricane Sandy at Cherry Hill High School East on Feb. 13.

Employees, customers and The Beneficial Foundation raised the money.

As part of its ongoing Financial Literacy Program, Beneficial Bank employees Robert Juliano and Pamela Hisler spoke to a large group of students about the importance of philanthropy.

After providing an update on statewide New Jersey hurricane relief efforts, the American Red Cross Southern Shore Chapter’s Executive Director, Carol Cohen, answered students’ questions.
