BCC presents job fair makeover

Twenty graduating students from Burlington County College (BCC) will be workforce ready thanks to professional makeovers courtesy of the college’s annual Dress for Success Show, presented by BCC’s Career Services Department and the BCC Foundation in partnership with Liberty Bell Bank.

On Thursday, March 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., students will show off their transformations at the Enterprise Center at BCC, located on BCC’s Mount Laurel campus at 3331 Route 38.

The students, 10 men and 10 women, will have received free business makeovers, including one professional suit and shoes, along with a haircut and style provided by Rizzieri Aveda School in Marlton.

BCC’s Career Services department will also hold career-related workshops that the students are required to attend.

“You have to be ready to put your best foot forward, especially in today’s competitive marketplace,” said BCC’s Director of Career Services, Roseanne Buckley. “It’s incredible to see the transformation from college student to workforce professional. Throughout the process, students become more confident and in the end are better prepared to enter the real-world upon graduation.”

The Dress for Success Show is free and open to the public. Several prizes will be awarded and one lucky member of the audience will receive the grand prize of an extreme professional makeover, sponsored by Liberty Bell Bank and Rizzieri Aveda School.

Sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations are still available. Benefits of becoming an event sponsor include company recognition and display ad in the program book, company logo on BCC’s Career Services website, announcements on BCC’s radio station Z88.9 (WBZC) and more.

The show is a prelude to BCC’s annual Job Fair, a massive networking opportunity for area jobseekers and employers on Tuesday, April 9 at the Enterprise Center at BCC. For more information on the Dress for Success Show, series of free career workshops to be held from Monday, March 25 through Friday,

April 5, and the annual Job Fair on April 9, please visit www.bcc.
