Police: suspects arrested in relation to multiple burglaries

On Jan. 12, during the evening hours, the Evesham Police Department responded to three residential burglaries that occurred in a short time frame resulting in significant loss of personal property.

The burglaries occurred at homes on Hastings Court, Hewlings Drive and Hearthstone Lane.

The suspects forced entry into all three homes, targeting cash and jewelry.

Evesham Police Officers along with K-9 flooded the area, while investigators began processing the scenes.

At 11:22 p.m., one of the searching officers conducted a pedestrian stop of two individuals who were walking through the neighborhood.

Both individuals were identified as burglary suspects and were arrested for hindering and unrelated outstanding warrants.

Officers responded to one of the suspect’s home located in Mt. Laurel. During a search of that residence stolen proceeds from the burglaries were recovered.

The first suspect, age 21, of Mt. Laurel, and the second suspect, age 26, of Atco were both charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree theft and a disorderly persons offense for hindering their apprehension.

They were both lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $40,000 full cash bail.
