Police: suspect arrested for marijuana possession
The following are on file with the Medford Township Police Department:
On Jan. 11, at approximately 2:32 a.m., a 2001 Mitsubishi was stopped for having its license plate light out.
While conducting a credentials check, an odor of “raw” marijuana was detected emanating from the vehicle.
Police then observed pieces of suspected marijuana on the shirt of the driver.
Further investigation revealed a bag of additional marijuana, which was recovered from the glove box of the vehicle.
The driver was placed into custody and transported to the Medford Township Public Safety Building for processing.
He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, maintenance of lamps and drugs in a motor vehicle pending court.
