Two Moorestown non-profits received $25,000 in grants

Two Moorestown non-profits received $25,000 in grants from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey as part of the Foundation’s fourth and final round of 2012 grants.

Moorestown Theater Company in Moorestown, received a general operating support grant of $10,000 to fund its theatrical productions and classes in acting, dance and voice.

Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, received a $15,000 grant to support its ARTS In-School Artist Residency Program. The program provides schools in Southern New Jersey with long-term artist residencies that engage students in the visual and performing arts.

“The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey supports New Jersey non-profit organizations that improve the quality of life in our state,” said Robert A Marino, Horizon Chairman & CEO and Foundation Board Chairman. “The approved grants will help to address important public health issues while also supporting programs that provide New Jersey residents with artistic and cultural enrichment.”

Forty-nine non-profits received $939,000 during the fourth round of 2012 grants. Since January 2012, the Foundation has awarded more than $6.7 million in grants to 128 organizations.
