Police respond to reported armed robbery
The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
Mt. Laurel Police responded to the Sunoco gas station, located at 721 South Church Street, on Dec. 29 at 9:25 p.m. for an armed robbery. The station attendant reported that the suspect received fuel in his vehicle and then brandished handgun and demanded money. At the same time, a second vehicle pulled up to pumps for gas and the suspect immediately entered his vehicle and fled. The suspect is described as 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches, 190 pounds, thin build, clean shaven, wearing blue jeans, dark hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers. The suspect vehicle was a newer model blue Ford Explorer with either tan or gray trim and tinted windows.
A resident on the 3800 block of Church Road reported that someone entered his residence on Dec. 30 between 10 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Entry was gained by opening an unlocked window. A laptop and several firearms were taken.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested 28-year-old woman, of Country Club Parkway, Mt. Laurel, on Dec. 29 at 2 a.m. She was arrested after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 73. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.
An employee of Columbia Bank, 99 Ramblewood Parkway, reported that a male subject attempted to cash a fraudulent check for over $1,400 on Dec. 28 at 12:30 p.m. The suspect is described as a male in his late 20s early 30s, 6 feet tall, stocky build, clean-shaven head, full beard, with a “lazy” right eye. He was wearing a gray business suit. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Anyone recognizing this individual is asked to call the Mt. Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 32-year-old woman of the 3400 block of North Hope Street, Philadelphia, on Dec. 28 at noon. She was arrested during a prostitution investigation at a hotel on Fellowship Road. She was charged with engaging in prostitution and turned over to Cherry Hill Police for an outstanding arrest warrant.
Mt. Laurel Police arrested 19-year-old woman of the unit block of Durham Court, Mt. Laurel on Dec. 28 at 3 p.m. She was arrested on Durham Court after police were called to the area for a suspicious vehicle complaint. She was charged with possession of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.
A member of LA Fitness, located on 4300 Dearborn Circle, reported that her wallet, iPhone and keys stolen from the floor of the exercise room on Dec. 28 at 7:45 p.m. The items were wrapped in a towel that was left unattended.
A resident on the 100 block of Cobblestone Drive reported that his residence was forcibly entered on Dec. 28 between 6 and 11 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing open a rear window. Cash and jewelry were taken.
A member of the YMCA on 59 Centerton Road reported a wallet, cell phone and cash were taken from a locker in the men’s locker room on Dec. 28 at 1:45 p.m.
