Shortly before Hurricane Sandy came barreling into the area, youngsters flocked to Springdale Farms in Cherry Hill.
On Friday, Oct. 26, mere days before the hurricane’s landfall, Alana Clark and Ryan Patterson, both 7 years old, of Bridgeton, got ready for a hayride with their classmates from Fairfield Township Schools.
Drake Brooks, 2, of Philadelphia and Voorhees, reaches the entrance of the corn maze and starts to climb.
The corn maze was modeled after a train, as the railroad used to glide through the farm’s current land.
The good news? The maze wasn’t wrecked from Sandy, said Co-owner John Elbert last Wednesday.
