Camden County wind advisory

Now that Hurricane Sandy has moved out of the County, residents still need to stay off the roads and use caution when outside. At this time there are more than 30,000 total homes without power throughout the County. The residual wind gusts from the storm will last until midnight tonight and will continue to disrupt power lines and trees.
“The storm is over but the effects will still exist until early tomorrow morning,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard. “Crews are out trying to restore power and we are asking people to stay in their house and off the roads. If you are on the roads you are undermining our effort to get power restored to residents and debris off the streets.”
These gusts will be dangerous and will continue during a period of time.
We are still asking that any calls about power outages should be directed to the utilities and the Camden County 911 emergency system should be used for emergencies only.
