The Burlington County Mosquito Division tomorrow evening,Thursday, Sept. 27, will be treating for adult mosquitoes in areas of Beverly and Moorestown, where positive samples of West Nile Virus have been identified, County officials said today.
Treatment will take place around the Birchfield Drive and North Lake Drive areas in Moorestown; and the area around Cherry Street in Beverly.
The division is planning to treat areas within approximately one-half mile radius of each location. Treatment is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Pesticide will be applied in a mist form by a truck-mounted sprayer.
Residents are encouraged to stay indoors while treatment takes place. The municipalities have been notified.
The division routinely places mosquito traps in locations throughout the County as part of a continuing effort to identify the presence of West Nile Virus.
