Woman arrested for shoplifting $490 in baby formula

The following incidents were taken from reports on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 37-year-old woman of the unit block of Pacific Avenue, Collingswood, on Sept. 5 at noon for shoplifting $490 in baby formula from Wegman’s on Centerton Road. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 300 block of Larch Road reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 12:01 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sept. 5. A vehicle door was keyed. Damage is estimated at $200.

A customer of the Shoprite on Ark Road reported a theft. A portfolio and miscellaneous documents, valued at over $30, was taken from her unattended purse while shopping. The incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 6.

A resident of the 500 block of Perry Drive reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred between 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 4 and 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 6. Entry was gained by forcing a second floor window. Electronics, clothing, and jewelry, valued at approximately 1,600, were taken. The property was located by landscapers in a wooded area behind the residence and returned to the owner.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 23-year-old man of the unit block of Quail Street, Stratford, Conn., on Sept. 7 for possession of marijuana. He was observed smoking marijuana on a Greyhound bus at the bus terminal on Fellowship Road at 12:01 a.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 32-year-old man of Salisbury, Md. and a 25-year-old man of Salisbury, Md. on Sept. 6 at 4:30 p.m. The two men were wanted for armed robbery in Maryland. They were arrested at a hotel on Fellowship Road and charged with being fugitives from justice. The latter man’s bail was set at $7,500 and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail. The first man’s bail was set at $5,000 and he was also committed to the Burlington County Jail.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 36-year-old man of the unit block of Ethel Street, Metuchen, on Sept. 7 for possession of heroin and unlawful possession of weapon. He was arrested in the parking lot of 1300 Route 73 at 2:32 p.m. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a Weapon (gravity knife). He was served with criminal complaints and lodged in the Burlington County Jail after failing to post $9,000 bail.

Mt. Laurel Police discovered responded to an activated burglar alarm at a township owned property in the 100 block of Hooton Road and discovered a burglary. The incident occurred at 7:29 a.m. on Sept. 8. Entry was gained by removing a plywood covering from the basement stairs. Damage is estimated at $50. Nothing was reported missing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 55-year-old man of the 200 block of Charing Way, on Sept. 8 for shoplifting $10 in merchandise from the Wawa on Larchmont Boulevard. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 4900 block of Albridge Way reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7. A vehicles tire was slashed. Damage is estimated at $200.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 26-year-old man of the unit block of Saddle Drive, on Sept. 8 for possession of heroin. He was arrested after patrols responded to his home, at 3:40 p.m. for a report of a subject under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Hypodermic Needle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was served with criminal complaints and lodged in the Burlington County Jail after failing to post $20,000 bail.

A resident of the 600 block of Augusta Circle reported a theft from their vehicle. The incident occurred between 8 a.m. on Sept. 3 and 6 p.m. on Sept. 9. A vehicle mirror was removed. The mirror is valued at $50.
