The Evening Membership Department of the Haddon Fortnightly is always looking for interested new members. The Club is busy with informative meetings, fund raisers for charity, and activities in the community.
If you were at the Fourth of July parade in Haddonfield, you probably saw our float honoring Dick Clark. That is just one of many fun things we do.
You can imagine the laughs and stories told while putting it together. If you would like to become a member, our September meeting would be a good way to see what we are about.
The meeting will be held at the clubhouse on the corner of Kings Highway and Grove Street, Tuesday. Sept 11. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and is usually done by 9 p.m., after which refreshments are served. Meeting and greeting during refreshments can answer any questions you may have.
The speakers at this meeting will be Nicolette Rallo, from Absegami High School, and Hannah Hershberger and Samantha Verzella, both from Haddonfield Memorial High School. They will be speaking on their experiences at Girl’s Career Institute.
GCI is a program for high school juniors, held each June at Douglas College, to broaden their horizons on career choices.
The Fortnightly sponsors girls each year for this program. Hope you can join us for their interesting and sometimes humorous stories.
